HNHC Awards RFP for Development Consulting Services to Flourish

Partnering to bring new Affordable Housing to our Community. 

 HNHC awards RFP for a Development Consultant for a new Affordable Housing Development to be built in the Frank Marshall Business Park, Ramsey Drive, Dunnville to Flourish Affordable Housing Communities.  Flourish is a provider of development services to clients pursuing affordable housing and social-purpose projects.  The development arm of Indwell, a Canadian leader in developing new affordable and supportive housing, the Flourish Team’s expertise has played a key role in the development of over 1000 households with a creative and collaborative approach to outcome-focused project management.

Out There in the Community – Matt meets with Simcoe Rotarians to talk about Affordable Housing

Affordable Housing is a community priority. This week, Matt met with the Simcoe Rotary Club who wanted to know more about HNHC and our plans to bring more affordable housing to Norfolk County. Quetzal Family Homes Seeking Board Members

South & Metcalfe Non-Profit Housing Corporation (operating as Quetzal Family Homes) is seeking applications from residents in Haldimand-Norfolk who are interested in joining the Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Quetzal Family Homes is a charitable organization that offers affordable, supportive housing and related services to women survivors of domestic violence and their children.  The Board of Directors is composed of community-minded individuals with an interest and commitment to affordable housing and ending violence against women.  We are currently seeking a resident of Norfolk County or Haldimand County to serve on our board of directors for a term of two years.  Regular Board Meetings are held virtually via web conference, for approximately 1 ½ hours at 5:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month, including February, April, June, September, and November.

ABOUT QUETZAL FAMILY HOMES:  Quetzal Family Homes is the owner of 28 apartments in two apartment buildings in Simcoe, Ontario.  The organization was created in 1991 by local community members and has evolved into a charitable organization that provides supportive housing and other services for survivors.  In partnership with Haldimand Norfolk Women’s Services, we provide on-site counseling and related services to women and their children.

OUR MISSION – Quetzal Family Homes is a community-based organization that provides specialized housing and related services for our tenants and community to inspire hope and enhanced quality of life.  Quetzal Family Homes provide secure, transitional housing for 18 months with support services, for women and children survivors of violence at a pivotal time, to help them achieve a healthy, safe and self-dependent future.

Board members are required to have internet access, the ability to participate in Web Conference calls, and email. Interested applicants should request an application by emailing hnhc@hnhousing.ca.
