Simcoe, ON – September 18, 2026 – Haldimand Norfolk Housing Corporation (HNHC) is issuing this statement to correct inaccurate information recently shared publicly regarding the proposed redevelopment of its Regent Avenue property in Port Dover.
While the required zoning amendment for the project has been approved, a site plan application has not yet been submitted and no final decision has been made regarding the height or final design of the proposed building.
HNHC continues to work through the design and approval process with its project partners and the appropriate regulatory authorities. Further information will be shared publicly as the project progresses through the required approval processes.
The Board of Directors takes its governance and confidentiality responsibilities seriously and has taken immediate corrective action.
